Founded in 1968 by Harrison R. Tyler and William P. Simmons, ChemTreat started as a regional supplier of water treatment products and services to manufacturers and other customers to keep their water systems free of corrosion and contaminants. In true entrepreneurial fashion, ChemTreat began with just a $200 investment made by Tyler with Simmons as his business partner. From a regional supplier to the third-largest company in its industry, ChemTreat has consistently grown over the years not only in size but in revenue.
In 2007, ChemTreat was acquired by Danaher Corporation, a global science and technology innovator. Since becoming an operating company, ChemTreat has benefitted from the Danaher Business System while maintaining its individual strength within the corporation.
